Directors, Trustees, Patrons and Staff Members of the C.A.I. Project
Don Leonardo, C.A.I. Trustee, C.A.I. Founder/Secretary
Don Leonardo, came from the East Bay area of San Francisco and moved to Napa Valley at the age of 7. In 1972 he entered the Juilliard School of Music. His school friends included Stephane Chase, Dong-Suk Kang, Yo-Yo Ma and other notables of today. Don suffers from Asperger Syndrome (an Autistic Spectrum disorder) and Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, which prevented him from being able to become a Concert Soloist world-wide. So C.A.I. is his legacy for charitable people.
Sue P. Schlaiffer, AICB, C.A.I. Trustee, C.A.I. Managing Director
Sue P. Schlaiffer was born and raised in Downend, Bristol and began work as an Assistant Accountant. Her interest in music grew, and now she shares the same dream, that the C.A.I. project should help charities with fundraising charitable concert events so as to look after the financial well-being of many charities struggling today, providing work as well for struggling musicians. The C.A.I. Project will be the start of a new future for charities and non-profit organisations. Sue pursued qualifications in Bookkeeping and did VAT returns, bank reconciliations and more. She doesn't do bookkeeping anymore.
Gerald Evans, C.A.I. Trustee, Fundraiser
Gerald Evans, born and raised in Bristol, an Engineer by profession, has a passion for classical music. Whatever one's background or education, music with all its guises will always be there to entertain, to relax or stir the emotions.
With C.A.I, a Charitable Trust, the aim is to promote and advance education in music, primarily for those playing orchestral instruments (but not only for classical music), with interests covering every genre of music.
Fundraising concert events by musicians of C.A.I., will benefit emerging novice musicians, and a host of deserving charities alike. With a Charitable Trust in place (Reg. No. 1118757), the income generated by capital investments will hire musicians to take part in fundraising concert events to benefit National and World-wide charities and other non-profit organisations in need of financial support, whether a medical centre, a Club, a charity or some other qualifying organisation which would serve as a benefit for surrounding communities everywhere, year after year.

In his words, "As a Patron of C.A.I., I request that every effort be made to provide support so this programme may be a success." They both believe very strongly in the C.A.I. Project, and hope you will also by joining as members of the C.A.I. Project today.
